Listowel Gymnasts win at Dublin finals |

A group of 16 North Kerry gymnasts returned from Dublin with a total of 20 medals.
The team was made up of Listowel and Castleisland members of Mariea Sheedhy's arial gymnastics squad. The team captured five gold medals, seven silver and eight bronze medals on all four pieces of equipment. |

| Razor wins 35,000 Euro dash in Clonmel |

Kerry fans were ecstatic at the National Coursing Meeting in Clonmel on Wednesday 6th of Febuary when two dogs from the Kingdom contested the Derby Final, which carried a purse of €35,000.
But there were divided loyalties - Razor Ashmore, owned by Joe O’Connor from Tarbert and trained by Brendan Matthews (Newry) took on the highly fancied Sandy Sea, owned by Patsy Byrne (Duagh) and trained by Pa Fitzgerald (Tralee) in a classic final. |
